When human entry is required to see things CCTV can’t: benches, lids, steps, or suspected structural damage or corrosion.

Is it safe to enter manholes/chambers?

Yes — if done by certified confined space engineers with proper procedures, rescue readiness, gas detection, PPE, etc.

How do defects discovered affect remediation?

Survey findings guide whether relining, repair, replacement, or relining + coating is needed. Defects like cracks, corrosion, loose joints, and infiltration are graded and budgeted in recommendations.
