How often must bunds be tested in Ireland?

Most bunds must be integrity tested every 3 years, with new bunds tested before first use. Frequency may vary by licence or risk level.

What is the difference between hydrostatic and visual bund testing?

Hydrostatic: fill the bund with water and check for leaks, most reliable.

Visual: engineer inspection of structural condition, acceptable in some cases where hydrostatic is impractical.
