Wastewater Treatment Plant Sludge Tank Management
26 November 2025
Our team recently completed a sludge tank management project at a wastewater treatment plant, delivering safe, compliant, and efficient processing across three holding tanks. Using the D:MAX mobile screening unit, we carried out controlled screening, volume reduction, and full on-site liquid management in line with environmental regulations.
Project Overview
The scope of works involved the controlled screening and volume reduction of sludge across the following tanks:
Tank 1: 2,721 m³
Tank 2: 2,180 m³
Tank 3: 1,983 m³
The D:MAX mobile screening unit was deployed to carry out the screening process efficiently. All runoff liquid generated during operations was effectively managed on-site, in line with environmental and regulatory standards.
Outcome
This project demonstrated the team’s technical proficiency and attention to operational planning. By ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient management of critical wastewater infrastructure, the team delivered a successful outcome with minimal disruption to site operations.
Solution:

Results:
The screening operation successfully processed sludge across all three holding tanks, reducing overall waste volumes and improving the manageability of the remaining material.
By completing the screening and liquid management process directly on-site, the project minimised transport requirements and reduced operational disruption within the treatment facility. The works were delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with environmental regulations.
