Concrete Blockage in 100mm Foul Drain Cleared in Roscommon Using Picote Maxi Miller

Blocked drain in Roscommon?
Our team recently responded to an urgent call from an engineering firm facing a major obstruction in a 4-inch foul drain. If you’re dealing with a blocked drain in Ireland, especially where concrete or other hard materials are involved - time is critical.
CCTV Drain Survey Identifies Concrete Obstruction
The client requested a full CCTV drain survey of a 10-metre 100mm foul line at their site in County Roscommon. Our engineers carried out a detailed pipe inspection, which revealed a concrete mass almost fully blocking the pipe just 3 metres in, restricting flow and risking further damage.
Concrete Cleared Using Picote Maxi Miller – No Excavation Required
To remove the obstruction without digging, we used the Picote Maxi Miller, a high-performance rotary milling machine designed to safely remove concrete from inside drain pipes. The tool quickly broke down and cleared the hardened debris, restoring full capacity to the line.
We also offer Picote Mini Cleaner services, ideal for root removal and softer deposits in smaller-diameter drains.
Pipe Cleared and Full CCTV Report Supplied
After the concrete was removed, we re-inspected the line using our drain camera system and delivered a full recorded CCTV survey and condition report to the client. The work was completed quickly, minimising disruption and ensuring full compliance with site drainage requirements
